The Little Giant Pump Product Lineup Include:

Sump pumps, effluent and sewage pumps, pool cover pumps, submersible pumps, dewatering/trash pumps, condensate pumps, magnetic drive pumps, water garden pumps, pond pumps, water fountain pumps, and utility pumps. The following paragraphs provide a brief description of some of the most popular types of pumps that carry the Little Giant name.

Little Giant Sump Pumps

Sump PumpOne common use for the Little Giant pump is to clean out sump holes in the basement. At times, especially whenever you have a leaky basement, the sump will fill up regularly and you will need to make sure that it is pumped out so the basement doesn't flood.

These types of pumps come in two basic varieties, the pedestal pump and the submersible pump. Many people choose the submersible pump, simply because it is convenient and it tends to work without any hindrance, while a pedestal pump can have problems if it is running constantly.

Little Giant Condensate Pumps

Condensate PumpCondensate pumps are used in HVAC and refrigeration systems. Most of the condensation that forms through the HVAC will simply drain out of a tube to the outside. If the HVAC condenser is installed below ground level, however, you may need a pump that will get rid of the condensation on a periodic basis. This is also necessary whenever you have a drain line that has collapsed and you might need to use a pump to force the water out with pressure.

Little Giant Pond Pumps

Pond PumpIf you have a pond in your landscape area, then you know how important it is to have a reliable pond pump. Little Giant Pond Pumps run continually, and re-circulate water in ponds. This helps oxygenate the water and keeps it clear and clean by preventing growth of algae and bacteria which causes stagnation.

Little Giant Wastewater/Effluent Pumps

Wastewater PumpOne of the more common uses of the Little Giant pumps is for pumping wastewater and sewage. A good scenario for this is if you have a bathroom that is installed below the level of the sewer line, perhaps in a basement. Since almost all sewage works on a gravity feed, it will be necessary for you to pump the sewage up to a level where it can naturally flow down into the main sewer line.

There are a number of different Little Giant pump models that can handle wastewater and sewage removal, but the size you need will really depend on the amount of fluid that you are pumping out of the area.
